Dedicated to making the full potential of phospholipids accessible for academic science and industrial research and development

Phospholipids are underestimated as excipients for the manufacture of pharmaceuticals. To change this, renowned international scientists conducting research on phospholipids founded the Phospholipid Research Center in 2006 with the support of Lipoid GmbH and Phospholipid GmbH.

Independent and nonprofit to facilitate international dialogue

Lipoid GmbH and Phospholipid GmbH have continued providing financial donations to the Phospholipid Research Center to this day. In the interest of an open and fruitful dialogue between all scientists and developers involved in phospholipids throughout the world, the Phospholipid Research Center was conceived as an independent nonprofit organization from the very beginning.

The Phospholipid Research Center does not pursue any economic interests. Instead, it is entirely focused on the objective of enhancing and sharing the world’s scientific and technological knowledge regarding phospholipids in pharmaceutical applications.
